    Research covers five general areas integrating interlinked resources and technologies into a unified research programme: language description, standardization, language technologies, terminology and multilinguality. These areas cover all levels of description (text linguistics, semantics, syntax, morphology, phonology), focusing on holistic exploration of language phenomena. The research is empirical, based on real language data found in contemporary corpora and similar resources.

    Centre for language resources and technologies at the University of Ljubljana is a research unit that is aimed at scientific research, and the development and maintenance of key digital language resources and language technology applications for contemporary Slovene.

  • New grammar of contemporary standard Slovene

    The project aims to explore linguistic methodological foundations of a complex analysis of written and spoken Slovene, as found in the new corpora developed in recent projects. Resulting methodology and data will provide a sound foundation for future work on empirically based description of Slovene.

CLARIN Slovenia

Common Language Resources and Technology Infrastructure (CLARIN.SI) in Slovenia is managed by Jožef Stefan Institute (Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (AILAB) and Department for Knowledge Technologies). I am in charge of the AILAB part of the research infrastructure.
